Hey, isn't anyone gonna use the april colors?
We need more submissions!

My plan is to update with new colors once every monday, so if we want the activity going, we need drawings/doodles/scribbles/stuff to match the colors. I won't update with new colors if there haven't been at least 2 submissions to a color-template!

Welcome to the 4colors club!

The idea of the club is that we post a scale of four new colors once in a while which you, the members of the club has to use in a deviation.

The concept is based on a game ~SneakySir and *karrey used to play over msn, where we discovered that, when limited to work with only four colors, that maybe you would never normally even use, you start to think and work along new lines and create stuff you'd never normally dream of painting. It can be a very refreshing creative boost for anyone who enjoy working with colors.

We will update the featured deviation with a new color scale once in a while. Simply download it to your desktop and use them in your submissions. Old color scales can be found here: [link] Feel free to use them as well, even if it's passed the time.

To join, simply send a PM to either ~4colors, ~SneakySir or *karrey with the word "join" written somewhere in the subject line.


Rules and guidelines:

The idea is that you use ONLY the exact four colors provided each week and make a picture based on them. However, if for some reason you feel the task to be impossible you may include slight variations e.g. for shadings or highligts. But we prefer submissions consisting entirely and only of the four exact colors. Examples: ([link] [link])

Besides the provided colors, you may only use black or white as background.

When you've joined the club, you must put a link to the ~4colors frontpage in either your sig or at the bottom of each journal entry. If you remove the link, you'll be disqualified.
To do this, either write without the spaces : icon4colors : to get (does not work in your signature) or : dev4colors : to get ~4colors

If you want to make a submission to the club, first submit it on your own DA page, and then PM the club or any of the admins with the subject line "submission" and a link to your submission in the note. It will then be uploaded to the ~4colors account.
All submissions will contain the author's name and avatar and a link to the original submission in the description. Comments will be disabled.

You are allowed to submit more than one picture for each color scale, of course.

Submitting scraps to the club is OK. It's only the context of the submission that matters, not its technical quality.

If you play the four-colors game with somebody else, or yourself, with different color-templates than the ones listed, feel free to submit those as well.
